I wouldn’t tell my mother off but if I loved the Navy shoes then I would get the Navy shoes. At the end of the day you have to be happy at your wedding day. For instance if there wasa brooch that had been in your family for generations and she wanted you to wear it but you didn’t like it, I would tell you to wear it, but the shoe color?

I’d just go with the navy.

Don’t tell her anything. Just wear what you want. Why does she need to be involved in the color choice of your shoes?

Cute shoes. I like em.

Your mom sounds like the kind of person I would largely ignore. But that’s me.

I don’t know what to tell you. I stopped trying to reason with people like that a long time ago.

My mom said those exact same things to me when I said I wanted to wear colored shoes, even though I told her no one would see my feet because my dress is long. I even told her that other friends of mine wore colored shoes with their wedding dress. I would say don’t let your mom get you down and do what you want. It’s your day! After all, they are just shoes and hopefully she can get over it. I think they are beautiful and will look great!

Wear what you want! I would let her know that if she wants to be “involved” she can let you make your own choices about YOUR wedding. Sorry, thats irritating and I wouldn’t put up with it. They are just shoes and they won’t outshine you no matter what color they are.
