I have read all the “how to” posts and have no problem doing this, but mine is polyester and won’t take Rit Dye.
So, any other ideas to add a pop of color down under?
Could I get colored crinoline from a sewing store and sew on – it sure wouldn’t hurt to have a little extra poof so I won’t have to get an extra hem put in.

You definately could add layers to the crinoline. That should be pretty easy. Plus you could be more inventive. Like having different shades of the same color.

Awesome! To the fabric store I shall go! I like this idea better than the mess of dying, even if my polyester would take it!

I made my coloured crinoline from scratch and it turned out great!
Adding some coloured craft netting to a crinoline petticoat should be pretty easy.
Here is a pic of my crinoline on my wedding day and a link to my DIY tutorial.

@FMM: May I just say I abso-frickin-loutely love how your dress and crinoline turned out? I have an AA dress and the crinoline is already built in but I would love to have that pop of color.
