i think brides these days are just being more personalized about there weeding look. unique in there own way without steering to far away from traditions and personally i love it. i love seeing all the diffrent brides touches she has donr to her wedding day look.

I have not got my shoes yet but I plan on wearing yellow heels, yellow is FI’s favourite colour so I would love to surprise him with this.  I still want them to be very “bridal” in style just yellow in colour.  Also it is something for me that is different and special for my day, different from your average “cookie cutter wedding” (not that there is anything wrong with that, it is just no my syle) Wink

Before I even saw a single wedding blog, I knew I’d wear colored shoes…I never wear shoes that match my clothing, I’m not a matchy matchy person. If I were wearing a black dress, I’d gladly wear some cute white shoes, lol.

I got these because they’re super comfy and I’ll wear them again after the wedding.

I bought the white pair of shoes below and having them dyed to match the burgundy also below. Most of my wedding is extremely traditional and I wanted to do a few things with color that really popped. The shoes are definitely one of those things for me!

I wore red shoes! No one sees them and they are great for photo ops. I also wore winter boots under my dress for photos as i got married in Feb.. No one like s a bride with cold toes!

typical slingbacks that are either white, silver, black, gold, or cream”

I would never wear any of those.

I hate shoes in general, and you can typically find me either barefoot, in sandals, or in boots. I compromised with my wedding shoes and chose a pair of Dyeable peep toe wedges (also because they gave me $50 off accessories and I didn’t want to waste it). I had them dyed a dark grey, but they turned out a very light silver. I didn’t like them with my dress at all, so I painted them with pink glitter.

I also added white bows over the toe strap, since you could see the holes left from removing the giant plastic gem that was originally on there.

ETA: People are lucky I’m wearing shoes at all, considering how much I hate them. 🙂
