Estes Park is about an hour and a half outside of Denver – go there and see the Rocky Mountain National Park! We did our honeymoon in Estes Park (rented a house, it was sooo relaxing and fabulous!)

I’m originally from CO and actually lived 30/45 minutes from Estes Park!  It truly is beautiful!  Also the ski resorts like Breckenridge, Aspen, etc are a lot of fun in the summer and spring with hiking, horseback riding, etc.  Where exactly “near” Denver will you be staying?

Ft. Collins is fun, but downtown Denver is fantastic. There are a TON of great restaurants down there (Rioja, Capitol Grill), and the nightlife is pretty awesome. If you like vodka, hit up Red Square – it’s a Russian restaurant/vodka bar.

While you’re in Fort Collins, make sure to make a reservation at the New Belgium brewing company so you can take their free tour. They’ve got amazing beer!

Yay, Fort Collins!  That’s where I’m from!  Honestly I have to say that downtown Fort Collins, Old Town, has some pretty good cuisine and night life as well.  Bisetti’s is still a favorite spot for my parents and that’s where they ate the night before I was born.  You should look into maybe doing a white water rafting trip on the Poudre River too.
