I was wondering how people handled the colors at the venue and the colors they wanted for the wedding?
Right now, I am looking at a color called azalea (pink, with purplish tones), and (without meeting with the florist yet), I think we’ll use light pink and green or dark purple and green accent colors. The venue, however, has buttery yellow walls and a lot of brown tones. I know we can dim the lights, and from looking at past pictures there, I know I saw pink and purple tones used, but it made me wonder what others did about this. Thanks!

My venue has a blue ceiling. We are going with pinks and ivory, so we are turning down the lights and using candles.

You can also drape fabric on the walls. I’m thinking of using drapery and dimmed lights

My venue has lots of yellow/brown tones, so to brighten it up and make our colors pop (shades of purple and green), we are using all white linens, and requesting white chairs instead of the goldish banquet chairs. You could always use chair covers too. HTH! 🙂

My reception space has dark green walls. We’re still going with the pinks, ivories, and whites. I actually was hesitant at first as to how it’d look but I’ve grown to love it.
