I am soooooooooooo stuck—- any help please!
My colors are Sapphire blue and white but everyone is telling me I need a third color. OK- well I chose black but my “mom” is saying no, gloomy color for a wedding. So then I chose silver because my wedding is in the winter and I thought silver would go nicely with the blue and white…. but then I slowly didn’t like the idea. Then, I thought a light blue would work (as my Fiance bought me an aquamarine ring for Christmas and I wanted to wear it that day) but I think the light blue would clash with the deep blue.
Now I am just thinking of using 2 colors, white and Sapphire blue (keeping in mind my wedding is in the winter so real blue flowers may be hard to find) but I feel incomplete without a third color. I was thinking about red and having red and white roses surrounded in blue ribbons….. not sure what to do.
This is what I am going for http://www.projectwedding.com/wedding-dresses/designer/alfred-angelo/sapphire?offset=12 – these same dresses are probably the ones we are going to buy (coincidence) and the theme of my wedding is “Sapphires in the Snow” to represent our son’s birthstone and the season my Fiance proposed in. So what do you think? Our wedding will be formal.

I think 2 colors is just fine – it sounds lovely! Our main color is gray and people keep thinking our main colors are hot pink and yellow (which are actually our accent colors) because “gray is your neutral.” Basically, you can do what you want – don’t listen to people who tell you you can’t 😉

i think the light blue would look lovely with it – check out this picture
but you dont HAVE to have 3 colors –
this was neat too – i searched sapphire blue and black – i know your mama doesnt like the dark colors, but im bias – my girls wore black dresses

My aunt did blue only and it was awesome. I think you’re fine with white and blue!

There are -no- rules… Drive me nutty when people tell other people how to run their wedding. You don’t go to someone planning a birthday party and tell them what they should and shouldn’t do. It’s your wedding, doll – You want two colors? Do two colors. If they whine at you about it, tell them to bite you.

Sapphire and white alone seems a bit hanukkah themed to me, especially in winter. I think aquamarine would work fine, or what about light gray?

What about your blue and white with just a smidge of green, to make decor a little easier?

Try silver should give you a little sparkle you dont need to use have it in everyhing and it will probally be incoperated in most of your things already
I would actually add another shade of blue close to the one your using already maybe a couple shades lighter
