So I live in New England and my mother convinced me we needed to use “fall-like” colors like burgundy. But, no one looks great in burgundy! I think I’ve decided on bridesmaid dresses and the navy color is really nice…and the color is good for all of the girls. Is navy ok for Fall? What other colors should I do with it in terms of flowers, vests under the tuxes for the guys, etc.?

Also, can we still do black tuxes with navy bridesmaid dresses? Not a big fan of gray suits…

I love the idea of navy for fall! How about navy with mustard yellow or antique gold and gray? Something like this;

(Please excuse the massive pictures) – But, yes! I think navy dresses look classy with black tuxes. I also think navy is great for the fall (it’s one of our colours for our October wedding, too!) Other colours: gold, burnt orange, burgundies, plum, spiced wine —nice rich, deep purples. ETA-yellows (mustard or any kind really).

Black tuxes will look fine with the navy dresses, or you could probably find a navy tux for the guys to wear. For vests you could do navy to match the BMs or ivory, or gold or something like that.
Besides, it’s YOUR wedding and you can use whatever colors you darn well please! 🙂 Whatever you choose will be beautiful, I’m sure! 🙂
I’m also a New England October Bride! (WOO!) My girls are going to be in Alfred Angelo Berry, which is a rich reddish purple. And I think it looks gorgeous! I’m planning to use bright yellow and orange gerbera daisies for flowers and gold accents (jewelry/shoes) for my girls. The guys will probably be in dark grey tuxes with matching berry/sangria ties and vests.
