So i haven’t even looked at dresses for myself but i knew for sure i wanted my bridesmaids PURPLE. After looking on Davids Bridal i knew “Sangria” was the color. I had a weird feeling today that what if the color isn’t the same in person?
It wasn’t! I felt it was too Bright.
Plum … Ehh.
Wisteria … Blah.
Lapis … Okay. Just okay. Kind of plain. Might look better in natural light?
So now i need advice. I want the guys to wear tan suits to fit our casual, outdoor, garden, rustic’y feel. We are getting married in a small victorian chapel surrounded by fields.
So HELP send me some color schemes! I think Black would be ok but im not sure black, tan, and with my hints of purple, and green hydrangea?

I wouldn’t go with black dresses.. how about brown? A chocolate brown dress would go nicely with the tan suits, plus purple, green, and brown all look nice together.

My Maid/Matron of Honor wore a chocolate brown dress and it was a great neutral palatte for all the fun flower colors we used!

How about green? David’s has a few nice green colors if you’re planning on going with them.
Fortunately for me, their watermelon color ended up looking different in person, but in a good way!

There are also other places to look besides David’s Bridal. What about looking at places like Macy’s or Nordstrom? There are a lot of cute dresses that aren’t necessarily “bridesmaid dresses” that would look great on a wedding party…and make them more re-wearable!

As a recent bridesmaid, I beg you to avoid David’s Bridal. They are such a nightmare to deal with.
I think lavender and sage would be lovely against the tan suits.
