I am trying to plan my fiance and i’s outfits for our engagement photo session and can not figure out what color to wear! We are taking our pictures at night around a lot of christmas lights. Im scared to wear dark colors just incase i blend in but then dont want to stick out like a sore thumb in white! What do yall suggest?

How about your wearing one of your wedding colors? We wore black with blue accents (accesories) for our pics. Also, you could wear Christmas colors since you are taking pictures by Christmas lights.

Oooohh I bet they will be beautiful!! I wore a yellow dress (see picture to the left) and Fiance wore a blue and white plaid shirt. My dress looks fine in all of the color pictures, but it is a real dull gray in black and white pictures . 🙁 And I LOVE b & w pictures, so I am pretty bummed about that. FI’s plaid looks great in both because of the contrast.
If I was to do it again, I would a dress that had more contrast or was either lighter or darker in color. Hope that helps!!

On the bright side, my dress had texture which shows up well in b & w! The ruffles looked great!

We’re getting our pictures near Christmas in the afternoon and around sunset hopefully in front of some of the Christmas trees downtown (one downtown and one on our college campus). I’m thinking of wearing a red sweater and a white coat and having my fiance wear a black sweater. This doubles as being classy holiday looking and our college colors though. I would think red, green, or blue would be gorgeous though.

Oh yes, I think that bright colors will do well and be a nice contrast. Fiance and I wore combinations of teal, blue, and purple. I think that since you are taking them at night, you should stay away from black or any deep colors (but I think that you already know this)
I would go with colors that you really like or like the way you look in 🙂 You’ll feel more comfortable and that will show.
