For one, there are no rules for color palettes/seasons. I wouldn’t recommend it, but if you wanted red and green plaid, then it’s your wedding. That being said. Blush is very in right now! It’s the new neutral. I am having a fall wedding in 2014 and I am totally with you when it comes to the rust/orange/sunflower theme. Not my thing. Consider who is telling you what you can and cannot do. How old are they? Have they ever been married. Were there parts about their wedding that people didn’t accept but they went with them anyway? I like your board. It’s classic with the black, and modern with the pink. Are you having an indoor or outdoor reception? Consider your venue. Hope this helps!

I’m getting married this November and those are my exact wedding colors!  SO no it doesn’t matter.  I too don’t like the traditional fall colors.

@rebeccalena:  Who in your life has the authority to tell you what colors you can or cannot use? You can choose any palette that you like.

If you want to look at other palettes, go to http://www.theperfectpalette.com

Scroll down on the right, click on a color you love and see all the palettes they have developed using that color.

If you really must pacify someone, you could add peach to your palette

We are getting married in October, and my guy, of all people, picked out blush/light pink as his favorite flower color choice. I chose to use silver-grey as the other color. The girls will be in black, to highlight the pink flowers and silver accents, while the guys will be in gray. I think you should do what you like!

I am getting married in October and chose shades of green (mint to evergreen, even teal!) with metallics and neutrals! Oh and a bit of peach! It doesn’t matter what season it is, do what you want!
