Hi everyone!! I have been trying to put together a color board for… a peachy coral (think fallish toned not summer) color mixed with succulents and gray. We are doing an early October wedding and I LOVE fall…. (love fall to the extreme) but dont want to do the traditional fall colors. We want to use succulents, and the greyish green pumpkins and maybe the peach pumpkins. I would love to see if you guys have any ideas or thoughts. Maybe this is a bad color idea? I own a florist and have never seen anything like what i am picturing in my head. =) Our wedding is at an old Victorian, outside in the evening. There are beautiful old water fountains and tons of mature trees that are gorgeous. We are going to have a TON of candles EVERYWHERE and its going to be very romantic / secret garden. Please please please show me what u think of these colors and make me see that someone else can picture it also. =) Thank you!

I think this color pallet is good. Not super common, either. If you’re using a florist, they should be able to help you pick out the right shades that will go well together. I’m not sure the exact shade or shades of peach you or thinking, but I found this bouquet pic. These shades might be a little off, but you can see that it all works when put together and get the idea! I love the garden roses and ranunculus in this pic. I like the Dusty Miller leaves, too. That’s a good way to also incorporate that sage silver color that the succulent has. I used lamb’s ear in my bouquet, which also has the sage color. My florist said that some colors don’t work with the silvery/sage tones. I think it was more jewel tones that she was talking about not going. I think it’s very romantic color pallet though.

Oh, and if you do succulents as accents, I love the idea of the little succulent favors. Where they are potted and each person gets to take one home. I’ve seen people even use those like escort cards, too, and be multi-functional. Or if you’re doing a secret garden theme, I like the idea of using old skeleton keys attached to the escort cards and you could hang them from something. Like shutters or a moss board. I thought about using that idea for my wedding, because I had a small collection of keys but went a different direction!
