This is my first post on here after recently getting engaged! I am currently starting to work out some of the basics and have been thinking about colour schemes. I am only having two bridesmaids, my sister and my fiance’s sister. The issue I am having is trying to find a colour that will suit both girls. Me and my sister are both fair with pale skin. My FH and his sister are mixed race (white/black carribean).
I’ve considered having two shades of the same colour, but ideally would just like one…any help would be appreciated!!

@lwhatford: What colours are you looking at?
Blush can work really well:
So can turquoise/aqua/teal/etc.:

I think you’re probably overthinking it a little. There are a lot of colors that work on a wide range of skintones, and I don’t really ascribe to the belief that people should only wear “certain colors.” Did you have any particular colors in mind? My girls wore eggplant purple.

I would rather not go purple, as when my mum got married both my sister and I wore dark purple!
I quite like Orange…as its a little bit different, although the look of the grey is quite nice too! FH keeps throwing out most colours I suggest!

If you like orange, coral or peach are orangey colors that work well on many different skin tones!

I had yellow too, and thought everyone looked great.

Navy is another good option, if you don’t mind going for a darker colour.

@lwhatford: Sounds just like me! Same date and I’m having two bridesmaids, one with fair complexion and one with dark 🙂 I personally think colors such as coral, apricot, teal, blush, royal blue and a mid-grey look nice on most skin tones. We are thinking of going with a light apricot/peach color!
