Hey bees!
I need some help. I have been eally seen on a dark purple (eggplantish) and grey colour scheme for our spring wedding however I have been seeing some pictures recently of dark purple bridesmaid dresses in the sunlight looking brown or black instead of purple. Our pictures will be outdoors so I am really worried. Any advice or notice this?
I have been thinking of changing to a mulberry or something??

I think the major factor is the material. I can’t for the life of me remember what kind of material it is but it is a bit shiny and in the sun can look brown or black. Taffeta might be the one but I’m not sure. If you want to stick with the color you want, you have to pick softer fabrics like chiffon to keep the color. The shiner the dress, the more color distorted it can be.

sambee99: I think it depends on the particular color and fabric of the dress how it will photograph in both natural and artificial light.

sambee99: Have you chosen designer and color? You can do a search for bridesmaids wearing those dresses and see how the color photographs.
