We are having letterpress wedding invitations and RSVPs with a standard printed information card. We always knew the two types of print would not match exactly, the printers have given it thier best shot (they’re colour matching to a velvet ribbon were using all over the place).
They’ve sent through these images of the finished product, this is the best match they can do and the alternative is to give up trying to match the two prints and go for black print on the information card. Does this look OK to you?

Steph77: It’s okay, it’s not great in the pictures honestly. What do YOU think? It’s hard to say if black would be better or not without seeing it, but I know the colour would annoy me as a bride, as a guest I probably wouldn’t notice.

MsGinkgo: I dont know! I can see its off but I’m not sure black would better so I’m trying to step back and remind myself its one of those tiny details no-one else is going to notice. Fiance thinks its fine and I know I’m always super fussy so just wanted to gauge opinion…

Honestly, I didn’t even realize there was a difference at first. I’m pretty sure a guest isn’t going to be scrutinizing your invites. I think black would be too big of a contrast.

Steph77: The colors look fine to me and I like the style of your invites, but I did notice what looks like a grammar typo on the information card. It should read, “We will be celebrating Drew’s birthday” and not “Drews Birthday”. Assuming that’s what the first sentence says, you need an apostrophe and I don’t believe that birthday needs to be capitalized.
