Ok, so this is a little wacky as a concept 🙂 but I was looking at this photo and thought the colours in the bubbles were a beautiful inspiration! (Try and block off just the one bubble on the left against the black background its easiest to see the colours that way) There is blue, green and tinges of mauve… I thought of those beautiful blue orchids with tinges of purple in them.
I’d like blue to be our main wedding colour, now just looking at other colours to pair with/accent…and saw that photo with all those pretty colours in the bubble!
Would love to hear any thoughts or if anyone is using/seen any such colour combos? I didn’t see a colour board (did I miss it?) so wasn’t sure where to post, reception or flowers…it be for those two mainly…

I absolutely love those colors together – they boil down to light blue, some green, pink, blue and purple. Pretty much “iridescence” would be the theme here.
You can see these colors working together in some of the confetti on this page:
Sounds like it would make for a lovely wedding!

Aww thanks! 🙂
“iridescence”! you’re right, that’s a great way to describe it
thx for the link! the confetti is so pretty! I really like the doves!
I’m looking back at a couple of images now that I found before and I still really like the one attached from Miss Lulla http://www.weddingbycolor.com/misslulla
but I think for my wedding it would be more blue based. That cactus image at the top right of the the colour board is gorgeous (see attached)!! Look at all the pretty colours in it! 🙂
I want something soft and romantic overall. I need to get started on a colour board… 🙂

I just made a colour inspiration board, trying to draw the colours out of that one bubble: blues, mauves, pinks, and a little bit of yellow and green as well. not sure yet how it will translate to centerpieces, bridesmaid dresses, bouquets etc! 🙂 I want it to be romantic and pretty, but also classy.
the reception is at a marina on the water, july 2010.
i was thinking keeping the bridal bouquet to soft light pinks, light mauves and whites, with perhaps a few of those white orchids included, depending on cost
centerpieces could include hydrangeas + other white flowers and depending on cost, a few of those beautiful blue orchids perhaps
any ideas would be appreciated! thanks so much!
