Bees, what are your thoughts on coloured wedding dresses. The more I see them, the more I am falling in love with pastel tulle gowns. Did/will anyone wear coloured gowns? I would love to see more examples.
Do you like them or do you feel better with white/ivory?

I don’t know that I would wear one myself (although I would defintely consider a colored crinoline!) but I think they are lovely! I especially love the second picture you posted, they just look so unique and beautiful, I say if you’re comfortable wearing one do it!

Those dresses are beautiful!!
To be honest, I wasn’t looking at coloured gowns when I first started looking – personally, I would love one, but fiance’s family are super-traditional and wouldn’t hear any mention of a non-white dress. I kept trying to find a dress that they would be happy with but after trying different dresses I ended up finding a dress that I love which is mostly ivory with purple panels in it. It’s beautiful and I love the shape it gives me – plus purple is mine (and the flower girl’s) favourite colour. Not to mention my fiance has seen a photo of me in it at the dress shop and he loves it 🙂

YAY YAY YAY YAY YAY A MILLION TIMES YAY
I’m not falling for the white dress thing! Every dress I’ve swooned over has been COLORFUL. It’s from too long ago and I’d never find it but my dream dress shown below.

yep, just because queen Victoria, westerners wear white colur wedding dress. but on other asian countries and maybe south america and africa as well, the traditional wedding dress is colored one. they are wonderful and vibrant and fun. because of western influence, brides in those countries wear western white wedding dress as well now, quite pity as the traditionl will vanish sooner or later

- Wedding: October 2014 - Disney
I considered color and ivories. In the end I fell in love with an ivory gown that is actually ivory not off white but a buttery color. I did try a silver dress, a gold dress, looked at purple and green ones.

I love the subtle colored dresses (pale grey/lavendar, blush pink, etc). I think they’re so soft and elegant.
