Colourless or near colourless?

If you like white stones, I’d absolutely go colorless. Esp against white gold. I’ve compared Charles and Colvard’s round colorless and near colorless as loose stones, and the near colorless has a noticable yellow tint. The colorless took on a blue tint when I held it up to direct sun, but this did not happen once it was set

The Fire and Brilliance OMC colorless looked fantastic in a white gold halo. The elongated OMC solitaire colorless in rose gold looks a little cold.

Just a little perspective

If you like a little warmth, go near colorless. I only like warmth in old cuts, myself

@Liz123:  I have several moissanite rings and I always get colorless for my white gold settings and near colorless fir rose and yellow gold. Here’s a pic of colorless in white gold and near colorless in rose gold. Your ring is very pretty 💕

@Liz123:  It’s not the metal that needs to match, it’s your surrounding stones. Do you know what colour the melee is? I think warm stones can look gorgeous in white metals, it really comes down to personal preference not the metal. But if you have an icy white centre stone and warm melee that might bother you.

I would order two gemstones, one colourless one near, and see which you prefer next to your setting! Most places selling loose moissanite have reasonable restocking fees. If you don’t want to bother with that, ask your jeweller to try out with a D and an H colour diamond & see which you like!

Colourless (but keep in mind any round brilliant will show way less colour than the above antique cut)

EC bands are DEF moissy, cadillacs side stones next to champagne OMC are GH, they don’t show any warmth at all and look like the DEF stones IMO – all from Provence Marquise and rounds are diamonds. Posting photo separately because WB just glitchesssssssss
