We were just going to buy holiday cards, they are usually pretty cheap and then on the left upper hand corner we would but save the date, and the website in a heart. Making it easy and still focused on the holiday greeting. Plus it will be so cheap!!

We did a combined holiday card / save the date. We used one of the templates on Shutterfly with a photo of ourselves and the lyrics from “Winter Wonderland” and info following:

In the meadow we can build a snowman,
Then pretend that he is Parson Brown

He’ll say: Are you married?
We’ll say: No man,
But you can do the job
When you’re in town.

Later on, we’ll conspire,
As we dream by the fire
To face unafraid,
The plans that we’ve made,
Walking in a winter wonderland.

SAVE THE DATE!
Our Names
Our Wedding Date
Wedding Location

Formal invitation to follow.

We wanted to do this but the timing didn’t work out for us, so we are doing two separate mailings of holiday cards and STDs.

Wow. Originally when I saw the title, I didn’t think I’d like the idea. In my head I was thinking the t-word  Undecided I just didn’t think it would come across well. Glad there were examples because they made me LOVE this idea, lol. Super cute!!

We had our 4 year old son draw the design on the card. It’s a “Marry Christmas” card. We included the save the date info on the inside of the card.

I am soooo jealous! We just ordered holiday cards and they are doubling as our engagement announcement (not a STD) but i love the jingle bell jingle bell rock one!! Dang it!!
