It will be a fake, some people are happy with fakes, I haven’t seen any that look like the real thing, so I’m quite sure I wouldn’t be happy.  Do lots of reaserch!

With replicas you will most definitely get what you pay for. The dress may have the same shape and it may have some of the same details but they won’t be the same quality – and sometimes that shift is very very noticeable.

A dress with a lace overlay will usually end up with lace cut-outs. Beading will be farther apart and sometimes replaced with applique pieces. Also satin will replace charmeuse (and appear shinier in photographs) and polyester chiffon will replace silk (polyester is woven further apart and will be more see thru, plus it will lay differently).

Just don’t expect to get a dress that LOOKS like a $2000 dress for $280. I bought one just as a “backup” – you can see my review here – http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/dress-from-china-pics.

I know the site. The good in $280 obvious is not quality good. But, if you can’t pay the $2,000, why not try the cheaper one. Based on my income level, i usually shop online at comdress. It’s cheap but doesn’t look it i think.
