I’m hungry now! I voted for all of them, but my favorites are mac n cheese and potatoes. However, I do think the potatoes could go cold fast, and nothing is worse than cold mashed taters.

Mac ‘n cheese all the way! Also mashed potato bar..I love me some carbs! S’mores sound good too but I agree with PP, could get messy.
Yum! I’m rsvping now–Yes and can I have a +1, not going to bring another person, just plan on eating enough for 2!
Pretty sure I’d devour every single thing on that list – and LOVE it. It’s gonna be great!
@jbaby731: We will be outside so no worries on the mess. ๐
@KoiKove: HA HA! Well at least you are willing to RSVP for 2. Most RSVP for 1 and then eat for 2.
@EleanorRigby: Hmmm I didn’t think about the keeping it warm aspect. That maybe what decides me between mac and cheese and ‘taters.
@EleanorRigby: Ok looks like we can keep the potatoes or mac and cheese warm in chafing dishes.
In case anyone else is looking into this potatoes are the easiest to keep warm as all you need to do is spary the chaffing dish with cooking spray before putting them in. Also if you make them up that morning you can just rewarm them on the stove with a bit of cream or milk to get them ready for the chafing dish.
Pasta you cook for only 2/3 the times sugguest on the box then toss with a good amount of olive oil before putting in the cafing dish. It keeps if from drying out.
@meerkat: Usually the only topping I’ve ever seen for pulled pork is a slaw (cabbage/ carrots slaw.)
Also, to me the mac & cheese goes with your other food more then mashed potatoes.
Oh and carnitas can be topped w/ anything, some use a slaw, or just plain ole cilantro ๐
@AnnieAAA: Hmm carnitas might be good instead of pulled pork. Give it some variety…
Yum. I really don’t think you could go wrong with any of these choices.
There’s a restaurant near my home that has a “make-your-own-smores” desert..they bring you a little heat source and all the ingredients..we love it. However….it takes a little time to finish one…and then we usually immediately want another…not sure how many guests you’re having or what the setup will be but I would consider this carefully so you don’t acquire a huge smores line.
@musthavedietcoke: That is exactly the way were were thinking of doing it! We were going to put out sterno flames and let people roast marshmallows over them. You make a good point though about not getting backed up. Hmm Got to think this one through. ๐
I love the comfort food rout. Mashed potato bars are so cute!! I think burgers with different toppings is also really cute! Mac and cheese is good too but when I think comfort food I think my mommys pot roast yummy.. Your wedding food sounds delicious now Im hungry.. thanks lol
@organizedbride11: If I could figure out how to DIY pot roast cheap and in bulk I would be so there with you. ๐ nom!
