@EyeLoveKitties: I wear Acuvue 2 contacts and I’ve never had any problems. My Fiance has really dry eyes though, and he’s found that the one day disposable contacts are better for his eyes and cause less itching/irritation overall.

I’ve worn Acuvue Oasys for years and I just switched to Biofinity monthlies. So far I’m liking them better.

I’ve worn Acuvue Oasys for years, one thing that seems to sometimes help me is a different solution. I mostly store in Opti-Free No Rub, but my optometrist said that can be harsh on the eyes. She recommended Clear Care (the one where you HAVE to use the special case that comes with it) or BioTrue. I used BioTrue while I was on holiday, since it was what I had picked up at the time while visiting family and I really do feel like my contacts bothered me much less. So while sometimes changing brands does help, and it might in your case, don’t overlook the possibility of the storage solution also being a culprit.

I tried some daily contacts (Accuve and CIBA Vison Aqua Comfort Plus) and I really liked the CIBA ones, but they were a lot more expensive and not THAT much better than what I currently have so I couldn’t justify the cost. But they were nice and my optometrist said I could always just use those on occasion like when allergy season hits me.

@EyeLoveKitties:  I’ve been using monthly contacts by MediFree for 4 years (and their daily contacts before them also for four years) and really like them. Not sure if that brand is available in the US though.

@EyeLoveKitties:  Yeah, they might be only avaliable by this one chain of Opticians I go to here… Here’s the link to the German site – sorry, I guess that’s not of much help (and also looks ridiculosly 90s) http://www.prooptik.de/index.php?id=17

According to my boxes Sauflon Pharmaceuticals Ltd in Twickenham UK is the manufacturer. Not sure if they’re doing other brands as well…

So the manufacturer does  exist in the US as well – but seems to offer a reduced portfolio http://sauflonusa.com/eye-care-professionals/contact-lenses

compared to the portfolio they offer in Europe http://www.sauflon.co.uk/contact-lens-wearer/contact-lenses

I’d suggest trying a bunch of lenses at your doctor’s to see which brand you like.  I’ve worn oasys for many, many years, and loved them.  now I have to wear the ones for astigmatism and they suck:/

I wear Air Optix Night and Day. It’s a monthly contact lens. I wear them for 30 days straight. No issues for me. 🙂

Air optix. I have astigmatism and have a problem wearing lenses because mine are thicker as a result. I have had no problems with these. I also use opti free replenish solution.

I’ve always worn Proclear contacts (these ones:  http://www.1800contacts.com/lens/proclear).  I wear the same pair for 2 months before switching them out (for a new pair, I mean – I take them out every night!).  I’m also able to get away with using Target brand no-rub solution (I think it’s meant to copy Opti Free Replenish), but my boyfriend has to use the special Clear Care stuff (which Target also makes a version of, and he says it’s as good as the name-brand).

Dailies Total. They are newer and pricy, but they are amazing. They’re water based, so it doesn’t even feel like you have them in. I love them.
