So I know shoes are kind of a personal thing but I need some recommendations. I have a lot of serious spine problems (loads of surgery, etc.) and must have very comfy shoes on my wedding day, but I still want something pretty. I also have wide but small (size 5.5) feet with high arches.
Day to day I wear birkenstocks, dr. maartens, reef flip flops, nikes, and pikolinos, haha basically giant chunky shoes whose brands don’t make anything pretty. Most “designer” brands seem to be very narrow (chanel, cole haan, etc.) so I’d love some decent looking “comfort” brands.
Any and all recommendations welcome. Honestly, with my body I don’t mind spending big on shoes so if they’re really expensive (up to $300 or so) that’s ok with me. Thanks!!!!

not to steal the thread, but if anyone has ideas for comfy bridesmaid flats too (doesn’t have to be very pretty) throw those in as well. I have a 1.5 hour STANDING wedding to attend, no seating.
I’ve never found very comfy flats unfortunately. i always find they are too thin, and don’t have enough cushion for your feet.

Following your thread. Also hoping for inspiration as I’ve had major ankle surgery and possibly a further op to go … Comfy shoes a must!
swonderful – I live in my birkis too!

Have you tried Zappo’s? Not only do they have free shipping both ways, they also have small sizes and wide widths.
Remember that a plain flat shoe can be dressed up with a shoe clip.
Have you heard of https://www.shoesofprey.com You can design your own shoes.

Have you been to a podiatrist? Maybe you could have special shoe inserts made for whatever flats you like.

Cole Haan Air are the most comfortable shoes I have found followed by Sofft brand (but this brand isn’t very dressy)
