Happy New Year everyone!
My husband is finding that his 1.5 hour subway commute to work is killing his feet! He wears dress shoes to and from work, but they’re actually boots because he needs ankle support.
He asked me to find him more comfortable shoes and I know of lots of comfort brands for women, but not men! Anyone have a maker they’d recommend? He’s looking for professional (around the office) but comfy.
P.S. This was supposed to post under “NWR” – sorry!

Cole Haan has a deal with Nike and some of their dress shoes have Nike Air soles. I have a pair of their loafers and find them comfortable. The have some Nike Air dress chelsea boots too, if he wants to keep the boot vibe.
Other than that, I’d maybe look into dress shoes that have the fake leather soles. They look like leather sole dress sholes, but are actually rubber-soled. The big chunky rubber-sole shoes aren’t very professional looking, but the toned-down versions they are putting on some dress shoes look perfectly fine. Allen-Edmonds makes nice shoes like this.

My FH just bought a pair of calvin kleins that he says are super comfortable. He wore them and walked around all night the other day and he was suprised at how comfortable they were.

I second the suggestion of Cole Haan. I just got my husband some Cole Haan loafers and he is in love with them.
