For nipple coverage, have you tried the silicone pasties/coverups?  I do that all the time with bras that don’t have padding and it works very well.

Sounds like aerie would fit the bill for you. Great quality for the price.

I can’t say enough good things about the bralettes from Lively.  Super comfortable and surprisingly supportive for a bralette (I’m a 32D – 32DD).  They have other wire feee models as well, but I haven’t tired them.

I was on the same hunt last year, and found these at Kohl’s (link is to Amazon in case you don’t have Kohl’s)

I am the same size as you. I tried on a bunch but a lot of them either smashed me flat or had too much stretch in the cup so my boobs were kinda swooping down and looked weird. These had the perfect amount of everything I was looking for. They have nipple pads that fit into a pocket, which tbh are a pain to get back in correctly after washing, so now I wash them by hand and hang dry. (they got folded and shifted in the machine.)

HUGE TIP: Buy the XXL. Seems wrong, but it will give you lift and a good shape but will be comfortable.

eta: I laughed that you are a size B cup and your user name is Water Melon laughing

Your taste in bras sounds exceedingly similar to mine!~ I spent my whole life at a 34A but after kids, weight gain etc, I’m a 36C. I hate almost everything about bras…. but I also don’t want to go without one, so I want something just as you’ve described and comfort is a MUST.

I tend to have good luck with the Jockey brand bralettes. I like that they pull over my head and don’t have a back clasp. I wash them in the machine (remove the thin padding first) and then I let them air dry. They are frequently on sale at Kohl’s, as well, but you can find them at Macy’s, at the Jockey store and a whole variety of places. Plus… they are pretty cheap. They check alot of boxes for me ! I tend to like this one because of the V neck, but I’ve also purchased other Jockey bralettes too:

I would love to hear what you purchase!~ Good luck, bee!

@Water Melon:  yes they’re closer to a medium than a small. I actually bought these for acro yoga prior to the pandemic. There’s a lot of twisting, turning, and upside down in acro yoga and these were excellent for that. Didn’t gape open nor did my boobs get smashed down from the band rising up. Tbh, they looked great throughout (totally not the point of acro yoga, but I’ll take a bra win when I can get oneπŸ˜‰)
