I’m talking casual, not for wedding. I have to stand for 8 hours at my job and my feet feel like one solid blister (but I dont actually have any blisters.) Anyone know of any super comfortable shoes for standing? I’ve bought I think 5 pairs in the last year, but none of them are very comfortable once I’m in them for more than 2 hours.
They have to be closed toe and back.

Does nobody have comfy shoes?

Comfy is relative. No two people anywhere have the same comfort level. You have to go to local stores (Payless, Walmart, Target, local dept stores, etc) to try them on yourself until you find a pair that works for you. Make sure to walk around in them to see how they will fit for any period of time before you buy them. Never buy anything before trying it on first.

I like my Clarks, although I dont have a job that requires standing.
I’ve heard Dansko is good for standing. So is Cole Haan Air (although they may be pricey) but they have Nike Air technology so that should help!
If I were you I’d check out Zappos.com; you can at least read reviews and see how other shoppers fared with each pair.

Some companies will let you order shoes for your job that are deducted from your paycheck. Not every place does this though, but alot of businesses that require their employees to stand will offer it. Ask your boss if they use a program like this, but the only problem is that you don’t get to try anything on beforehand, so shopping locally is a much better idea since you can see them in person before you purchase.

I don’t stand for my job but I do have problems with my feet back from my military years of being a soldier….I wear Clark’s and they are totally awesome. I also have some special inserts to put in my shoes now, too…thanks to the foot doc. If they continue to hurt you, I would suggest visiting a foot doc!

i have at least two pair of closed toe black Clarks that are amazing. My mom got turned on to them b/c of me (she tried on my shoes once for like five minutes). They also run pretty decent sales a few times a year. I also have a pair of Merrell closed toe black shoes (more of a flat clog style) that are great and I’ve had for at least 5 years and they’re starting to look a bit beat up now.
