Its not unusual for it to take 5-6 months for your period to settle into a natural pattern after getting off birth control.  A lot of women do have a month or two immediatly after stopping BC where their body sticks to the cycle it was on with BC, then have a few months where it gets a lot more crazy as the body figures out its natural pattern.  If waiting for your period to show up is making you crazy/nervous maybe look at getting some cheapy pregnancy tests for your peace of mind.  The dollar store and amazon.com both sell pregnancy test at a really good price, so you can test a few times a cycle without spending a ton of money.

Yes I have experienced this before. I was on BC pills for 6 years and due to my pill slowly not working anymore, I decided to just stop all together. For the first couple of months I was right on time and everything seemed to stay the same. After that, it was late a month or two and just now does it seem to be regulated again (it’s been about 7 months).

I don’t think you need to worry but like @nikkialys said, if you need peace of mind a HPT won’t hurt!
