@MissMay3003:  We picked bridesmaids dresses and went from there.  I was actually originally planning on navy BMs, charcoal GM, and peach/yellow flowers, and you would not believe how hard it was to find navy BM dresses.  So we did a 180 based on the color availability, and now we’re with mint bridesmaids, navy groomsmen, peach/yellow flowers.  Moral of the story is to not get too attached the dresses are purchased in the correct sizes!

@MissMay3003:  There are websites that can help

http://www.the perfect palette.com    scroll down on the right, click on one color that you like and you will see all the palettes they have developed using that color

http://www.design-seeds.com    click on palette search, play around with the Search by Color Value tool until you get a color you like, click on Go get it- and see the palettes

Once you decide on your palette, go to the paint store and get some paint chips in your colors. They will help to keep you on track when shopping, choosing linens, flowers etc.

@MissMay3003:  This is going to sound very silly, but I hit up paint stores and got as many different shades as I could find of colours I liked. Then I had a ‘paint chip party’ which involved me sitting on the floor, a glass of wine and all those samples spread out around me. Oh the looks I got from my poor FI when he came home. I had a good time though. 🙂
