I don’t have any pics sorry ๐Ÿ˜• But have you gone on diamdb.com? You can compare the sizes on a finger to get a better feel for it. Also- try to find the mm across each would be so you can compare actual finger coverage not just the center stone.

If you know the measurements of what the actual halo will be then you can use this site to adjust and add the millimeters the to stone sizes your wanting. Although it won’t show the halo, it will show larger round stones, it will still give you an idea of what the overall coverage for each will be

this is a 7mm(1.25 carat) and a 7.5mm(1.5 carat) on a size 4 finger

For example if you got a super dainty 1mm halo, you would add 1mm to each side making a 7mm stone be a 9mm. This is what a 7mm and a 7.5mm stone would look like with a 1mm halo on a size 4

maybellina2689 :  what size melee do you plan on doing in the halo? To me, a center stone that large would require a very thin halo. Other than that, the size of the center stone should depend on the amount of finger coverage you’re going for. It would rather choose the 1.5 ct center and do a thin halo, than choose the 1.25 and do a chunky halo. But that’s of course just my personal opinion ๐Ÿ™‚

maybellina2689 :  Not exactly what your looking for ,but I am a size 4 finger and wanted you to get an idea of finger coverage.

maybellina2689 :  If this is the setting you’re going for, then I would definitely choose the smaller center stone. I think anything else will be too much on your small hands.

maybellina2689 :  hi there! I’m a size 4 and here is my halo emerald cut. The center is 1.75, and the halo makes it around 2 ct. Hope that helps!

maybellina2689 :  this is a stand in while I wait for the real ring (upgrading while pregnant). And it’s a 1 carat equivalent with a halo and I’m a size 3 normally this is a size 4 during pregnancy.

maybellina2689 :  10 mm in a round is like a 4 carat stone. It would look really big.

I would go with the smaller center stone. Sounds like you’re still going to get great finger coverage with it.

I personally would not do the halo at all. You will have a nice size stone, and a halo will just distract from that.
