My Fiance and I already booked our place for an outdoor wedding, but now we’re having second thoughts. I am having surgery on weds which isn’t that big of a deal. I am just getting my wisdom teeth pulled out, but that’s going to cost me a ton of money. (no insurance).
I was thinking instead of having a big ceremony/reception we can rent a big enough limo for about 50 of our closest family and friends, go to the ceremony location and have our ceremony outdoors, then go to a really nice restaurant close by and have dinner with all the guests.
My Fiance isn’t like this and says his parents are not going to be thrilled.
We’re having last min expenses and it’s costing us a lot of money. I have to have a rootcannel done too. I have really bad teeth even though I take such great care of them.
Is my idea too tacky? if so, please suggest something else. I really don’t want to have a big wedding anymore. I am so stressed. I have to apply for my masters program this year and we’re getting a house… it’s just too much. I don’t think having a big wedding is worth it.
I like the idea of renewing our vows every 5 years.
Also, how should we break it to the inlaws? My parents are completely supportive and have even suggested not having a big wedding. Just the ceremony.
