- Wedding: May 2013 - Pavilion overlooking golf course scenery, reception at banquet hall
May 25, 2013
Bright/electric blue, white, and yellow
Don’t really have a theme, but am shooting for soft and light fabrics, kind of a romantic feeling, and mostly DIY things.
4 bridesmaids (one is MOH), 4 groomsmen (one is BM), 2 flower girls
Ceremony (where, time):
Local golf course under their pavilion, in the evening.
Reception (where, time):
The golf course’s conference center next to the pavilion.
Mori Lee 1854: Lace gown, sweetheart with ~2-3 inch sparkly straps. It is currently a mermaid shape but I think I’ll see what alterations can do with it – I’m afraid mermaids are going to be a trend that we look back on in 20 years like UGH, lol.
Haven’t decided yet. The place I get my hair cut at can do an updo for $35, but I’d rather have someone come to us instead of going out to the salon. Not many places do hair/makeup for less than $200 if they have to come to you, though.
Undecided, but we are looking at Italy.
Mostly white flowers with yellow accents, I think. Cheaper flowers like roses, cartations, and daisies are very likely.
First Dance Song:
Completely undecided! No idea! “Our song” is Would You Go With Me by Josh Turner, but it’s too fast for us to dance to. I don’t even know if dance lessons would help us. It’s a real shame, because I love the lyrics. Neither of us are even into country music, it just really is a great engagement/wedding song.
The venue provides some, but I’m still exploring Pinterest for ideas to replace or enhance the ones they have.
Probably their pasta option: guests choose from 2 pastas, 3 sauces, 2 meats, and 3 veggies. Otherwise the turkey/ham + 2 veggies option is the same price, but, well, we love pasta so much! 😛
Bride’s cake is chocolate cake with chocolate mousse filling for one tier, and white chocolate cake with white chocolate filling for the other tier.
Groom’s cake is white velvet cake with strawberry fruit filling.
Probably blue and white M&Ms in a cellophane bag tied with yellow ribbon. Undecided on springing for the extra 50 cents per favor to customize the M&Ms with our names or whatever. :/ It’s $50 I’d love to spend on other wedding aspects first.
Ipod manned by a friend with DJ-ish experience – he’s an extrovert with experience as both a karaoke host and as a bartender – I think he’d do pretty well 🙂
No idea! That’s the one thing I don’t have to plan myself 🙂
