I was actually searching for bridesmaid dresses when i stumbled across this website.
I’m not actually a bride, but my brother is finally getting married to his girlfriend- they’ve been together five years, and they’re only 21! Very sweet. I’m actually only 15, so i’ve known Kate (my brother’s fiance) for practically half my life, and she’s like a sister to me. Anyway, i’m chief bridesmaid (lucky old me!) and i have managed to break my foot and i have to be in bed for a couple of weeks. Kate has very kindly let me help out on the wedding plans-which really is every girl’s dream and we’re struggling with bridesmaid dresses.
She’s having three bridesmaids, and the we’re all quite different sizes and ages, but she’s pretty set on having one style for all of us. She’s after something that we can all hopefully wear again, which is pretty rare i know. She’s very keen on the idea of some sort of print- preferably green-on-white.
I know it’s a bit out of the ordinary for a 15 year old to be on one of these websites, but i’m really anxious to help, and she’s finding it pretty difficult to find the dress. Thank you to anyone who’d like to help, i’d really appreciate it.

Welcome, Alice! 🙂
Can you tell us a little more about your brother and sister-in-law’s wedding? Is it formal or informal? Day or evening? What season/climate? Does she have any colors that she’s leaning towards? A price range?
A lot of the women here on Weddingbee have been great at helping me find dresses, and I have great faith that we’ll be able to help you too!

Ah yes, common sense, hadn’t quite got that far!
It’s going to be in July of next year in Cornwall, England, in a beautiful (but pretty small) church overlooking the sea. The reception is at a friend’s barn (it sounds funny, i know- but it’s really beautiful.) The theme she’s going for is traditional white- as in white roses, white table cloths etc- but she’s keen for the bridesmaids to stand out a little from that. She’s in a white dress and she really wants the bridesmaids to have a different, but not ‘racy’ look, if that makes any sense? The ceremony is going to be quite formal, but the guest list is only around 100 people, so i guess that makes it quite a ‘close’ thing?
As they’re pretty young, they haven’t got a huge amount of money to spend. I’m thinking no more than £100 on each bridesmaid dress- and any less than that would be preferable.
Hope that gives a more specific picture, and as i said before, i would really appreciate some help with this!
