Ooh Oooh!! We did a Halloweendinner party a couple years ago and it was so much fun!!! I’ll post photos for you when I get home! A small murder mystery party is great too. Most of the boxed ones are 8-10 people 🙂

if it was on halloween night, yes, because thats like a wednesday or something this year, right? on the weekend before halloween, at least one of those nights i would like to par-tay! (i feel like we are fast approaching the end of child-free halloweens in my social circle and we gotta make them count!)

@bakerella:  I was just going to suggest a murder mystery!

I’d definitely go if a friend invited me to a Halloween dinner party.

Oh! We usually do smaller dinner parties! I love big parties, but I like them at other peoples houses where my stuff is not in danger of being destroyed! (LOL). However, my husband and I do a lot of little dinner parties and they’re soooo fun!

I’m considering doing a murder mystery dinner for halloween this year!

Here’s a great website for some murder mystery packages:

I’ve done the death by chocolate one, super fun.

The one i want to try this year for halloween is the Four Dueces!

I host a halloween dinner party every year, and I always  have people asking to be invited. I do all sorts of themed food/drinks, as well as games.

I have a trivial pursuit type game called “goth”, where all the questions are related to horror movies, heavy metal music, dead celebrities et… instead of filling a pie, you are trying to fill a graveyard with tombstones. It’s a riot.

I also have the Atmosfear DVD game which is always a lot of fun.

When games aren’t being played, I typically have crazy slasher movies or old school black and white horror movies playing in the background, or soundtracks from horror movies.

Here’s some of the food I’ve made. The main dish is always beef stew baked in a pumpkin. http://allrecipes.com/recipe/pumpkin-stew/

Dagger through the heart chocolate cake with raspberry ‘blood’ filling.

Puff pastry eyeballs & bones.

“Devilled eggs”
 Candy corn jello shots

Skull Jello

@metalbride:  |By the look of your tablecloth… I guess you don’t care if somebody spills something on it, right? LOL

We have that exact same skull jello plastic juice container… we use it for digging out dog food for our Doberman!

@happyface:

That is fantastic! I love it!

Yes- my tablecloth is a painter’s drop sheet I took out to the garage and had fun with some fake blood. I also have the same pattern for my shower curtain! LOL
