I am having a dilemma concerning my wedding ceremony, and could use some advice. My fiance and I are both devoted Christians with diverse denominational backgrounds. My mom is begging for us to be married in an Anglican (like Episcopalian) church with a 100% Anglican ceremony. However, my fiance’s uncle is a senior minister for a Baptist church, and we had already asked him to perform the ceremony at our little Disciples of Christ church before my mom let me know just how important the Anglican wedding was to her. I am trying to stumble onto a compromise of some sort, does anyone have any ideas? I had thought maybe his uncle could perform the ceremony at the Anglican church, with a hybrid of the Anglican / regular wedding litany, but I don’t think the church would let him do it. Help!
