(Closed) Computer savvy bees…HELP!

@Jacqui90:  It almost sounds like a hardware issue. It’s possible you need a new hard drive. I’ve had the problem where it would hang at the Welcome screen before and that was the issue. I’m sorry, but it looks like it may need to be repaired. Is it under warranty? Some places will do diagnostics for free. Big places like Best Buy won’t, but smaller computer places would.

@Jacqui90:   It could be a virus, do you have anti-virus protection installed?  Have you tried re-booting? (Sorry if that’s an obviousl question, lol).  You may have to take it to where you purchased it and have them either reinstall Windows 7 or remove the virus. 

I’m curious as to what “more” computer savvy Bees will suggest.

@Jacqui90:  If it’s still under warranty then you shouldn’t have to pay anything. I would definitely take it in to have it looked at. Maybe ask about the warranty first to ensure they don’t make you pay for anything.

 I don’t think it’s a virus because if it were a virus, re-installing windows 7 professional from the CD should have worked. Also, you should be able to boot into safe node as well.
