RayKay posted a lot of accurate information. Strong fluorescence causing a milky or hazy appearance is quite rare. Occasionally, VERY strong fluorescence can cause it, but again, even that is rare and is sometimes considered a collector’s item. GIA studies indicate that professional graders cannot detect fluorescence in the vast majority of cases without a UV light; the odds that a consumer would notice it are almost nonexistent.
