Hello! I have just started dress shopping and I’m hoping someone can help me out with a couple of concerns. I tried on Mikaella 1406 over the weekend and was pleasantly surprised! I never thought I could wear a form-fitting silhouette since I am a plus-size bride. (Measurements are 34Dirty Delete on top and pants size 12) I found it to be figure-flattering since it hid the tummy area very well (thanks, ruching!), but I am nervous to order it since I’m very curvy. I’m hoping maybe some fuller-figured brides like myself can post pictures of themselves in this dress, or a similar dress, so I can get some confidence. I really loved it, but I am afraid to pull the trigger since I question whether or not I can pull it off in my size since I typically hear that A-Lines are the way to go. Thanks!
This is the dress:

I think that a size 12 could look awesome in this dress – I think the volume at the bottom will really help balance everything out. You’re going to look va-va-voom! Very very curvy and I bet your Fiance will LOVE IT!

I am a size 18 and my dress was pretty damn tight and nicely fitted. It was awesome and people asked if I had lost weight. Only thing it was so hard to sit down but it was os worth it. So a size 12 is not going to look like a plus size. Go for it!!

If it makes you feel fabulous then ROCK it…confidence is what makes the bride

I love the dress and my dress is very figure flattering. I initially wanted a fuller A-line and was pleasantly surprised by how good I looked in my dress. I say go for it if it makes you feel good!

I agree with you all. I thought a more traditional a-line would “hide” things and make me feel better but in fact a dropped wiast and fit n flare shape looked way better on me. I am 5’2″ with a larger bust and around size 14-16. It was awesome not to worry about my large bust for a day. 🙂
