Hurting my pinky fingers. I can’t stand when people drink with their pinky out, or point with their pinkies, or anything where those weak little baby fingers are waving around by themselves. It is just so dangerous! You have no idea when a knife might come flying through the air and cut that finger off if you leave it exposed like that… I shudder.
My family and fiancé love to stick their pinkies in my face all the time due to my “ridiculous” fear hahaha. I tell them they won’t be laughing anymore when those fingers get injured!

Yes, this is mine too! I’m terrified someone will break in to our house. Especially when Fiance is not home, I get to nervous for every little noise 🙁

I am irrationally afraid of…
…wait for it…
…WHALES! And all other large things in bodies of water, including boat propellers (I am not, however, afraid of orcas, which are the ones that might actually kill me…they’re not that big!)
I’m actually afraid of large things in open spaces- cruise ships on the dock (but not when I’m onboard,) walking to planes on the tarmac (but not flying or boarding planes from one of those gate-extender things) and large objects in fields (but not skyscrapers- I live in NYC and am surrounded by large buildings constantly.) I’m not afraid of heights either, so it’s not that… or of water specifically, just what lurks below because it’s so BIG in a huge space. Its hard to explain, but it’s to the point where I will have panic attacks if suddenly “sprung” with something big. I think its kind of abnormal ha
For the record, I’m not phobic of sharks (not that big) unless they are…WHALE SHARKS (not dangerous, but very big.) Talk about irrational…

@RunnerBride13: and @SarahSarah:
Yay! People think I’m so crazy or weird but it’s good to know I’m not the only one.

@wisher558: me too! I’m so scared of all birds I think they are going to try to peck my eyes out. Everyone thinks its really funny except me:((

@Holly77: I’m really glad that there are other people with this fear! Most people just look at me like I’m crazy.
I really wish I could know what is stems from but I think I’m blocking it out!

Bridges especially single lane ones ugh. Heights which i think is related to bridges. Dying or that something is wrong with me internally and I wont know until its too late. Cars. What if it just malfunctions and crashes omg. Accidently setting our apt on fire. The ocean, you just dont know whats in there :-/ .

I’m afraid of riding a bicycle. I have an irrational fear that I’ll fall and get tangled up in the bike, and a car will hit me before I can get out. Totally ridiculous.
I’m also legitimately afraid of a zombie apocalypse. I have really vivid nightmares about it at least once or twice a month.

Spiders and centipedes. When I was in high school I jumped out of a moving car once because a spider was on the visor and when had pushed my seat back as far as it would go and I asked my mother calmly if she could please stop the car for a minute, she reached over and flipped the visor up! I freaked, opened the door and jumped out. Luckily she had slowed down, but I still ended up getting quite a tumble.
With age, I can more tolerate these bugs and know they are not a danger, but I still get that big startle reflex when I see them. Also, with age it is not all spiders anymore, only ones with certain body types. (Daddy longlegs don’t freak me out anymore)

@wisher558: Ducks are cannibals who indulge in necrophilia. They also rape each other. I’m not a fan 🙂
I dislike spiders, snakes, frogs, most reptiles…oef!

SarahSarah I have this. It’s called emitophobia. It’s taken me years to no longer have panic attacks when movies have people vomit, or when I hear an adult burp, or a child cough or say “I don’t feel good.” I’m still working on not having panic attacks when I feel nauseated. My best friend has it too, and she has toddlers, and it’s almost debilitating. So I totally feel you.
