Just wanted to know what you ladies do to feel good about yourselves, and make yourselves feel sexy and glamorous. I’ve lost so much confidence lately, and feel pretty down. I love hearing about how other girls like to pamper themselves and show themselves some love, so do share 🙂 what makes you feel good?

Looks aren’t everything. Besides looks, what else is awesome about you?
As far as confidence in my looks, though, DH loves me inside and out, and I love that :).

I’m sorry to hear that you’ve lost confidence lately. Whatever is going on, chin up honey! I can’t pretend to really know or understand, but I can give you quick list of my favorite things that I have discovered works for me.
1. Excercise: Running is my drug. And yoga is my anti-drug. Both of these are seriously ROUGH if you start from ground zero like I did. But what kept me going is that they are super cheap. Running only requires a pair of shoes, and yoga you just need a mat (there are a million and one yoga youtube channels so you don’t have to pay for a fancy studio). Both activities are such a great release, I never knew how much tension I was holding inside until it was depleted. I learned the true meaning of patience, practice, and acceptance of myself, my body, and where I am in the moment. I guess this is more long term pick-me-up, but these changed my life.
2. Food: There’s nothing better than crisp, fresh picked butter lettuce/apple/strawberry. Follow that with a bite of dark chocolate dipped in peanut butter and all cravings disappear!
3. Your Absolute Favorite Movie: Grumpy Old Men, Finding Nemo, Birdcage (a total MUST if you haven’t seen it before tehee)
These things gave me the tools to move forward. Parental abuse and the subsequent trauma left a young me in the real world, shattered and too broken to know any better. Building yourself up is absolutely the HARDEST thing because sometimes it’s against all odds and voices telling you otherwise. Whatever is going on, wish you all the best 😀 Hugs!!!!

I’ve been suffering from some insecurity issues lately and I recently started reading this book. I would recommend it to absolutely everyone.
