- Wedding: September 2012
So my venue allows for 2 options when it comes to alcohol:
– the client (us) to buy the liquor & the license (not a big deal)
– the caterer to buy the liquor on behalf of us
I have reached to a caterer for a quote and they had included this:
We are happy to purchase alcoholic beverages on your behalf.
*we charge the retail rate of the LCBO bottle plus a 25% handling charge. This will be added to your final bill, after a closing inventory has been made on all open and empty alcoholic beverage bottles*
In the estimate, they included this:
– Alcoholic beverages: based on consumption, $10.95 a person
So, bees, I’m confused. What’s the $10.95 per person if they are going to charge us the retail rate of the liquor and invoice us after the event? Or is the $10.95 an average amount of alcohol per person, and they will invoice the excess after the wedding?
