I know I don’t want my bridesmaids to wear the same color. However, I am getting mixed opinions from my family about what the style of dress should be like. I have girls of all different sizes in my wedding party, so I thought it would be nice if everyone just chose something they are comfortable in as long as all the dresses are the same length. My fiance thinks it would look best if they all wore the same style dress in a different color, which is an idea I also like. I have been going back and forth between the two ideas, but can’t seem to decide on anything. I need to make a decision quickly because some of my bridesmaids live out of the country and can’t come regularly to try on dresses. I would really appreciate any advice, especially from those who have gone with either option.

There is no one answer. It depends on what choices are made.
You can google all three of your options and find examples that worked well.
Different style, different color
Different color, similar style
same style, different color

I think it’s completely a matter of taste, but if you and your Fiance are leaning towards same style, different color…go with that! You can tell them what designer, what style and what fabric and let the girls have at it in terms of silhouette and color!

I am biased! We chose a pretty dress that looked flattering on all of my maids and ordered different shades of blue, from dark to light. It looks uniform, but it is unique. It looks great with completely different dresses as well, but you can’t be afraid to veto a dress. I think that would be the hardest part… if you hated a dress someone else chose.
