So I was late getting my period so I figured I take a pregnancy test. I took a pregmate one because I had them and I got a faint positive (see photo). So then I took a pregnancy test I’ve had for 2 years (maybe I should’ve checked the expiration date) and I got another faint positive (see picture). So then I took like two more pregmates and got more faint positives and then took a frer (Walgreens brand) and yet another faint positive. So at this point I’m thinking I’m pregnant. And then my period started this afternoon. So now I’m just confused. Are my pregnancy tests crap? Or am I experiencing breakthrough bleeding and I’m actually pregnant?

Hey bee. Those are definitely faint positives. Unfortunately the bleeding could be either implantation bleeding or a sign of a chemical pregnancy. There’s no way to tell short of going to the doctor or continuing to test to see if your lines get darker. Good luck ❤️

Doc in the past told me bleeding can happen in early pregnancy and be totally normal. I think it’s usually relatively light, but enough that it can be confused for a period. There’s probably no way to know without consulting a doctor. Hoping for the best for you!

No, you wouldn’t have gotten that many false positives. It could be spotting or a chemical pregnancy. Call your doctors office ASAP to get in to confirm. Hoping for the best for you!

Those are definitely positive! Praying for the best for you, as PP said it may just be implantation bleeding.

That’s definitely a positive on the hcg stick, which is the most reliable. Bleeding now would not necessarily mean that the pregnancy has failed. Implantation bleeding in early pregnancy is very common as the embryo burrows in and establishes a blood supply. Implantation bleeding can look and act just like a period, it can show up as spotting, and some people get no bleeding at all. The only way to be sure if your pregnancy is progressing healthily is to do blood draws to track your hcg levels over the course of a week or two. Best of luck.
