Oh hun! I have no experience with chemical pregnancies but doctors have been known to be wrong before! I know the waiting game has got to be just horrible! Hang in there. I hope some other bee’s have some words of encouragement for you and are more knowledgeable on the subject than I am. Thinking of you!

If you have still never gotten your period and are still getting positives, I would call them back and demand that they retest you.   It doesn’t make sense and you shouldn’t have to sit around worrying for 2 more weeks.   If they refuse I would go to a different doctor.

Oh my goodness…I can’t even begin to imagine the stress and confusion you’re feeling right now. While I’m afraid I don’t have any answers, I just wanted to tell you how sorry I am that this is happening to you. * big hugs*

I believe this is one of those cases in which only time will tell…how terribly frustrating. I will keep you and your Darling Husband in my prayers and hope for the best possible outcome.

I’m so sorry, this sounds extremely stressful. Can you see another doctor? Maybe is you are going to your OBGYN see if your PCP will run the tests for you. I know the chances of a false positive are next to none. So by the tests I would say you are pregnant. If you said that today’s was negative then I would have to say chemical pregnancy. I thought if it was a chemical pregnancy then you would not longer be getting a positive.

You poor darling. Are those sticks recent? I mean are you getting BFPs now? there are a lot of wonderful ladies on here who have expereinced what you are going through so perhaps reach out to them. if you are still getting positves then definitely get a second opinion. Sending you huge hugs and lots of baby dust.

@MrsStrawberry24: ((((HUGS)))) Like pp said I would totally suggest maybe getting a second opinion or seeing if they can test you again sooner? your numbers should keep going up if you are in fact pregnant. Fingers crossed you are!

@MrsStrawberry24:  Maybe try a digital test? or a different brand? I’m assuming you will still get the same positive but at least you can rule out that those tests aren’t bad…

this is an odd combination…. false negatives are much more common than false positives but a blood test should trump the OTC tests.  something seems off for sure,  I would switch brands to a digital and get a second blood test.  Things happen,  lets hope your blood sample was off.  Good luck.

That seems so odd.  If it was a chemical pregnancy, I’d think you’d stop seeing positives on the OTC tests.

Because you are still getting positive HPTs, I’d ask for another blood test.  Maybe something got messed up with your sample.
