not everyone has EWCM. the opks are a good sign.

the only ways to confirm ovulation are by taking your BBT or having a blood test.

did you do a trigger shot?

just follow the RE’s orders and BD EOD.

good luck!

I never did get a positive OPK or EWCm when I did my round of clomid and I’m currently 34 weeks pregnant. Is your OB going to do a blood test or follow up ultrasound? Good luck!

mrsrobinsonco :  How excting, you’ll need to keep us posted on the ultrasounds!

I confirmed ovulation through charting my BBT :).

mrsrobinsonco :  One of the main side effects of Clomid is that it can decrease your CM – so I wouldn’t be totally shocked if you had no EWCM even though you are ovulating. You can try to increase your fluid intake, and see if that helps, otherwise I would recommend following your Dr.’s BD advice and maybe use pre-seedd or another TTC friendly lubricant!

mrsrobinsonco :  I would agree with the PP, that the only way to really confirm O is by bloodwork or an ultrasound. OPK can be a way to tell if you are getting closer to O, of course, since it tracks your estrogen/lh surge. I think the most reliable thing you have right now is that your follicle measured 18mm, which usually signifies O is about to happen. I do know that is the minimum my RE would use for trigger, but said that you can continue to grow follicles up to 26mm before your hormones surge high enough to cause them to release an egg. If I were in your situation, I would keep taking the OPK but know that they aren’t totally reliable in terms of confirmation (actually, I stopped using them when my cycles were monitored) and keep BD until your follow-up confirms O.

Yes, I absolutely second what BeverlyGeese said about clomid decreasing your CM. Have you used pre-seed before? If not, it’s definitely worth it to give it a try- it comes with applicators that you can use internally but I personally just used it as regular lube. Just know that a little goes a long way with that stuff. If you’re already familiar with it, sorry for the overshare!
