Ok so I went dress shopping a couple weeks ago and my mom really loved this dress. Not saying I dont like itbecause I do. I actually love this top of this dress. But when I was in this dress I didnt get that feeling like this is the one. After trying on about 10 more dresses I did compare others to this one. I am very picky about buying things so I dont know if Im being picky and just beingafraid to commit just because I didnt get that omg feeling or this just isnt the one. Also my husband likes more of the ball gown type dresses and I do worry he wont like this one.ughhhhh Im just so confused!!! Can anyonegive me some advice? Did you get that breathless feeling when you put your dress on? Do you think this is a good shape dress for me?
Ps… sorry for the lack of spaces my phone is acting up

You have a super sexy hourglass shape so that dress is awesome on you! But if you are not feeling it, then maybe try on some more dresses? Have you tried on any ballgowns??

10 dresses (at least for me) isn’t really that many. I would keep looking- as long as you are looking at dresses within your budget. I feel like your mom might be influencing your decision just a tiny bit, maybe go dress shopping with someone else until you get it narrowed down to your favorite 2 or 3. I think that you look good in mermaids definitely, but that you would look even better in a dress that is tailored and structured a bit more than this one. This one is still really pretty though, I would definitely keep it on the list.

I like it and it looks good on you, but if you don’t absolutely love it, don’t order it. You still have plenty of time! You deserve to looooove your dress, just not like it.

I would say keep looking. Not because there’s anything wrong with your body – you look smashing hot – but the dress has a few odd features that are causing me not to like it. Like the obvious vertical seams on the bodice, the empire line belt (that seems to be a bit lopsided) and the ruching on the hips that seem a bit off.
I think you can do better. Besides, this is your chance to finally wear the wedding dress you couldn’t have before – why compromise by wearing something you don’t actually love?

@FutureMrsJohnston: I have and I absolutely loooved it! But I made the mistake of showing it to my husband and he hated it ( that particular dress) and I dont want to wear a dresd he dont like.

It looks beautiful on you! But if you don’t love it, don’t settle. I had dress regret with my first dress and 2 months before my wedding, I found the one!! its everything I’ve ever wanted and I love love love it so much. Keep trying on dresses until you get that feeling!!

@tdodd88: Did you husband just hate that dress you are wearing in that photo? Because I can probably understand that due to the colours – other Bees have commented here that the dress in that colour looks dirty.
I think that ballgown shape looks pretty fantastic on you though. As would mermaids.

@tdodd88: oh my god I love you in the tulle ballgown! If your hubby doesn’t like it, how about a tulle that isn’t ombré?

I bought a dress I liked. I never had “that feeling” because truthfully, I’m not like most brides. I don’t get “that feeling” about anything. Don’t be disappointed if you don’t have the “burst into tears, jump up and down” moment because you just might not. It isn’t anything wrong with you, or the dress, but I think a lot of women are “tricked” into thinking that if they don’t have that moment, they’ll regret it forever.
Buy a dress you like. It’s as simple as that.

@clairebbbear: It was that particular dress. He said it looks like someone spilled coke all over it. Lol But the theme to our Vow Renewal is a Southern country. I plan on wearing cowboy boot with the dress. This dress comes in ivory but Im not able to try it on. I really love the colors of this dress. Ive never been to typical girl and like to be different lol.

@tdodd88: I love the tulle gown on you!! I agree with what another bee said about a ballgown in only one color. I’m not crazy about the brown on that one. But you also look lovely in the more fitted dress! Just don’t settle. 10 dresses isn’t too many to try on at all!

@Tinatiny1: I really love the ombre lol and I really think I would regret getting a white or ivory dress in this style.

If you’re not MADLY in love with it, keep looking!
Funny enough, my Mom was obsessed with me in that dress, too!
