@tdodd88:  you love the ombré, which you did not say about the other dress. And it looks gorgeous on you. I love it on you, too, you look amazing in it. I’m so sorry your man doesn’t like it, but then again, he might not know much about dresses and he might want you to be in the dress you love. I say think on it a bit and maybe talk to him about it if you feel like it. You do look stunning in it. 🙂 you only get your dream dress once…. Make sure you love it.

Just read your update re cowboy boots with the ombré! Yes!

I LOVE the ombré on you. The colour I could take or leave, although I think a vow renewal would be the perfect occasion to rock a non-traditional wedding dress. More importantly the silhouette – natural waist ballgown – is amazing on you. You look so slim in it, it’s much more flattering than the mermaid gown. Maybe one of the other Vera ball gowns would work for you? Your husb might just be put off by the brown tones of the one you tried.

@tdodd88:  I LOVE the tulle ballgown on you.. You look so happy and the dress really flatters you. Does that style come in any other colours? Like maybe a blush ombré instead of the brown?

@tdodd88:  Have you thought of wearing a tea-length dress? That way you could still have the drama of a big skirt showing off your tiny waist, but could also make sure your cowboy boots are showing.

I think you can pull off whatever style you choose! Have you tried a dropped waist? It shows your figure but still has the larger skirt like the ballgown. Maybe try one and see if that’s the happy medium you’re looking for.

Between the two pictures you posted, I LOVE the ballgown on you – maybe you would like it more without the cafe tulle? You mentioned blush ombre and Ivory. Blush ombre will still have the “WOW” effect, just a bit more subtly than the dark contrast of cafe and ivory. All ivory you will still have a dramatic dress because of the texture and the layers. It’s really beautiful – definitely a show stopper!

Good luck in your searches! And definitely post more pics 🙂

P.S. your man seeing the dress in a picture vs. you walking down the aisle, hair and makeup done with a veil – I guarantee tears (or some sort of big reaction) and a completely different opinion.

I think you look fantastic in both dresses, but the second one gave me a WOW reaction!  My finance is not a fan of ball gowns and would prefer more of a bohemian type look….. But I went with what I always wanted, and got the ball gown!  I agree with the other Bee’s — on the day of the wedding he won’t be disappointEd seeing you walk down that isle!  Be true to your vision!

(ps I didn’t have that ‘this is it’ moment either, but I compared every other dress to the one I ended up buying)
