vancin86 :  Aww boo! Sorry to hear. FWIW, it’s normal to have an annovulatory cycle once in awhile so no big deal if it happens from time to time. Hopefully this new cycle will have a clear, ovulatory pattern for you.

vancin86 :  My first cycle TTC #2 I had an anovulatory cycle and my period came at what should have been 9DPO much earlier than my typical 15DPO. Hopefully if that’s the case you have it out of the way and can expect a normal cycle next time!

vancin86 :  Lol. You could probably start OPKs at CD10 and do one a day until you detect the LH surge. After a few cycles (if not pregnant) you’ll learn when you typically O and can wait longer to start them if need be. Also, if you see EWCM, start taking them. It’s best to use them in the afternoon, I’d just POAS when I got home from work or following dinner after a 2-3 hr hold. I used the Wondfo brand on Amazon; you can buy them in packs of 25, or 50, and some packs come with Wondfo pregnancy tests too that I used before wasting $ on FRERs (which I only used after a line on a Wondfo or if I just had a feeling this could be the cycle).

vancin86 :  Some bees do one in the morning and one in the afternoon to catch a shorter LH surge. Everyone is different. I think one a day is fine. I usually get 2-3 days of positives with one day being a blazing positive and the others just equally dark lines but still positive. Doing once a day would be fine to start and you can learn your normal. If you happen to miss a positive OPK next cycle but still see a temp rise indicating O you might want to test multiple times a day. Until then I say save your money and santiy and just commit to once a day to get started. 🙂 A urine hold is just recommended to get more concentrated urine and a better result. If urine is too diluted you might miss a positive. If you go to test and urine is too clear I’d scrap that sample, wait a few hours, and try again with a hopefully more concentrated sample that will give you a more accurate result.

vancin86 :  I think it looks very anovulatory with those up and down “rocky” temps. I’m glad you’ve been using opks though so if you DO end up Oing you will be warned and can be sure to hit your window, but I can imagine by now you guys might be tired and stressed over this. I honestly hope your AF does come so you can start with a new fresh cycle. Anovulatory cycles can be normal for all women and can happen once a year. (this is what other bees told me in June when I had mine). You will hopefully have a more regular ovulatory cycle next time. I know when I had my anovulatory cycle my temps were up and down like yours. I even did get +opks but then had an anxiety filled day right before I should have O’d causing my body not to O at all. My AF ended up coming earlier than expected but it can also come much later. I will try to add the photo of that cycle’s chart here for you to see if you want.
