I definitely prefer the simpler ring, seeing as I have one of my own. I know a girl who had a ring very similar to the second one you posted. IMO, it’s too much. I think, if you’re going to do a halo, there needs to be a noticeably larger center stone in the middle.

Here’s my baby

They’re both beautiful. I don’t think you could go wrong with either one…

One thing to think about though is what wedding ring you will choose. You really have a lot of choices if you stick with the simple ring you already have, but your choices are narrowed considerably with the second ring.

I prefer the simpler ring, but to be frank, I’ve always thought solitaire rings were breathtaking and halo rings look like cocktail jewelry.

(Sorry, halo girls. Nothing personal.)

Halos, no halos, pavé bands or plain, yellow gold or white, all these things become more popular and less so again in time.  The one thing that never goes out of style is a solitaire, particularly a round brilliant.

I’m not saying it’s better so please don’t misunderstand me, but no matter what you’re wearing or what your band looks like, it’s a classic style, rather than a fad.  So I guess it depends on what kind of girl you are in general, but I definitely picked the first one.

I prefer the solitaire. I feel like second ring is a little bit busy with the halo AND three rows of diamonds in the setting.

I too prefe the first (solitaire) it’s so classic and elongant.  Also, as Loribeth mentioned you have quite the variety to pick from when it comes to wedding bands. If you feel like dressing it up later you can….. Get a sparkly fancy wedding band.

Love the solitaire!!  The second one is not my taste.  The solitaire is elegant.

Love the solitaire! Gorgeous.

@Fallicious1012:  You can.  I know plenty of women who wear their e-ring on their right hand and their w-ring on their left.  I see it all the time in my office, especially when both rings are pretty substantial.  BTW, it’s beautiful! I’m sure I’ve complimented you on it before, actually, but it never hurts to hear it again!

I like the solitaire. I like halos, but that one just has too much going on for my taste.
