betterbuckley :  I don’t understand, it doesn’t look like your cervical fluid is dry to me?  Doesn’t it say that it is watery today?  Watery is still fertile, which would probably indicate you haven’t O’d yet.  I would just watch tomorrow, friday, and Saturday’s temps.  If they’re as low as all the others then throw out that high temp- it’s just a fluke.  What CD do you normally O?

Every now and then I would get an unusual high temp as well. I dont know why.  Typically, I would monitor my temps for a few more days and if it was just a fluke high temp for that day, I would throw it out.

betterbuckley :  Yes, sounds like watery.  If you O’d on CD17 last cycle, I’d probably look for about the same this time.  CD17 is a pretty normal day for O to occur, you might not even be adjusting, that could be normal for you.  My O gradually moved forward a little bit but one day at a time, never had a 5 day jump in my O date before.  It was normally 16/17 and then it sort of moved to 15/16 and the one month I ovulated CD14.  And that was over the course of a year.  So that’s all considered “regular” as far as I know.

Unless today was a fallback rise, I would guess your high temp is a fluke.  So tomorrow and friday will give you better info.  You just need to wait and watch and record.  Even for temp shifts/high temps- they don’t usually jump that much.

wow, that’s a jump! i’ve had jumps mid-cycle for 1 day, too but it was because i drank the night before, which causes a higher BBT. so does not getting adequate sleep, the sleeping conditions themselves, etc. but that’s over a degree and really high. i’d see what the next few days show. if you don’t think you’ve ovulated yet, you could always get an OPK and test.

If temp was up today I would say ovulation on cd 12 but since it is back down it appears the cd 13 temp was a fluke.  See what happens in the next couple of days.

betterbuckley :  this happened to me this month! And it was around the time I usually O, this exact same scenario. My opks were still negative and I posted on here, concerned I wasn’t ovulating. I was encouraged to keep temping and using opks and it turned out that was just a fluke, and I got positive opks and a temp drop and sustained spike a few days later. Is it normal? I don’t know, lol, but you’re not alone.

betterbuckley :  I can’t really help having never charted but as you really don’t mind why not just leave it with God.
