I was told ages ago that sometimes being on birth control pills causes your cervix to be extremely friable – did they say your birth control could be to blame?

Find another doctor and request your records be sent through to them. Getting the run around when you are trying to look after your health and wellbeing is unacceptable, sorry you had to deal with that.

Wow I could have written this post. Exact same thing happened to me.

Was bleeding after sex, went to the doctor who told me upon visual examination that it looked like there were precancerous lesions on my cervix (terrifying!). Went for my colposcopy and those doctors saw absolutely nothing. Said they didnt see a single place suspicious and that a biopsy wasnt even needed. They gave me a pap test and confirmed it was normal.

The only answer ive been given was to go off of hormonal birth control because it can cause my cervix to bleed more easily. I was told i have a sensitive cervix even back when i was a teenager because i always bled during pap tests.

I really dont have any answers for you but i just wanted to let you know that other people have gone through it too. I remember how terrifying it was so *hugs*!
