So a thread recently popped up about how often we Bee’s clean our ring. I’ve only had mine for 13 days now, but I’m kind of obsessed with the cleaning. I have a jewelers cloth, was given a new ultrasonic cleaner for Christmas and the solution. Today I officially went through my entire jewelry box, and this is what I’ve learned along with my review. I’ve never seen dirt come off anything like this before. And I thought because it was the cheapest smallest portable unit that there is no way this gimmick could work. I loved being wrong.
1. It requires 4 triple a batteries, and it takes up very little space, which is nice.
2. There is a sample packet of solution that comes with the box [for those of you that want to try before you commit first]. Just add the solution to the container [after the batteries are in] and fill to the top line with warm water. Don’t worry about drops here and there that get spilled outside of the cup, it was more durable than I thought.
3. Get a paper towel or a clean cloth to dry your item off and have it on standby. There is a 4 hook plastic ring holder at the top which rotates when the machine is on provided there is enough room to do so [don’t worry it won’t hurt the machine if it doesn’t rotate]. I started with one ring on the hook, then loaded up the bottom of the bowl with chains, charms and diamond pendants at the same time. Each piece coming out cleaner than the next. You can literally see the film and debris coming off of the jewelry through the water. I didn’t take a before picture, but you have to trust me on this one. The water is clear as day when you start. And when I was finished, it looked like muddy soup.
4. Do NOT put emeralds or antique silver into the machine. There is a guide on the back of the instructions on which materials/stones can be cleaned. I must have cleaned 40 pieces before my final piece, which is of course my ering. After I cleaned it, the Fiance wanted to know what I was screaming about from upstairs. When I came down to show him my ring, he said “WHAT the hell is that oh lord! it sure didn’t look like that when I opened the box to give it to you DANG!” So both of us were shocked. Well worth the money Bee’s! 2 thumbs up.
